Week 5: Party in the USA
Put your hands up, it’s a Party in the USA. We are going all American this week by exploring the USA through food. Junior Chefs will discover the local tastes of California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas.
Each camp day includes the assembly of one, sweet or savory recipe, a craft, games and a kitchen learning activity. Over the course of the camp, Junior Chefs will learn kitchen techniques specific to their age group, such as how to cut and measure ingredients as well as sequencing and direction following. Cooking opens a world of math, science, reading, social studies, and more. Kitchen safety and hygiene will be promoted through each day’s activity. This camp is recommended for Junior Chefs, ages 4-10 years old.
Campers must bring a water bottle and lunch to camp daily. A pizza lunch, including a slice of pizza, drink and cookie, may be purchased at an additional fee to be enjoyed on the last day of the camp week.
